Koniag Operations Services LLC a Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Configuration Manager with a Top-Secret security clearance to support KOS and our government customer in Arlington include medical dental and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan paid time off paid parental leave life and disability insurance flexible spending accounts commuter benefits and tuition Functions Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:IT configuration/patching specialists play a crucial role in ensuring that software and systems areproperly configured maintained patched and controlled throughout their lifecycle. ITconfiguration/patching specialist has the following duties and responsibilities (One position 1920 standard hours per 12-month period): Configuration Identification: Identifying and defining the configuration items (CIs) that make up a system or product. This involves determining what components need to be controlled and tracked. Configuration Control: Create and implement configuration management plans. Managing changes to the configuration items and ensuring that changes are properly evaluated approved and implemented. This involves maintaining version control and ensuring that only authorized changes are made to the configuration. Configuration Impact Analysis: Conduct impact analysis for proposed changes to assess potential effects on other configuration items and systems. Configuration Implementation: Execute the implementation of approved changes ensuring minimal disruption to services and operations. Configuration Tool Management: Ensure the continuous operation and maintenance of configuration management tools. Configuration Status Accounting: Recording and reporting the status of configuration items throughout their lifecycle. This includes tracking changes versions and baselines to provide a clear audit trail of the configuration history. Configuration Audits: Conducting regular audits to verify that the actual configuration of a system or product matches its documented configuration. This helps ensure consistency and compliance with requirements and standards. Configuration Baselines: Establishing and maintaining configuration baselines which are predefined sets of configuration items that have been formally reviewed and approved. Baselines provide a stable reference point for future development and change control. Release Management: Coordinating the release of software and system configurations including planning scheduling and deploying releases into production environments. Thisinvolves ensuring that releases are properly tested and documented before deployment. Change Management: Working closely with change management processes to assess the impact of proposed changes on the configuration and to coordinate the implementation of approved changes. FISMA POA&M Management: Manage the remediation of Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for multiple networks and coordinates with the ISSO to provide evidence of completion. This includes coordinating meetings with technical teams and the Cybersecurityand Compliance team to track status plan report and close items as appropriate. Documentation Management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to the configuration of systems and products. This includes configuration specifications diagrams user guides and other relevant documentation. Track all problems and changes in product documents and report on current configuration. Facilitate communication and engage with EX/IT staff to encourage configuration management efforts. Acts as the configuration lead for EX/IT configuration management change control board (CCB) and infrastructure change management. Coordinate CCB activities and enact changes as directed. Tracks open CCB and infrastructure change requests from beginning to end to ensure timely completion within established SLAs. Analyze vulnerability scan results from various tools and prioritize remediation efforts based on severity and age. Leads and collaborate with EX/IT teams on resolving outstanding vulnerabilities requiring deep hands-on technical expertise to remediate complex patching issues. Reports and briefs on status of activities. Stays informed about the latest vulnerabilities and threats. Creates regular reports on open requests follows up with appropriate teams as necessary to keep requests progressing schedules as necessary to resolve any outstanding items. Coordinates efforts on site with and reports results to the government manager. Coordinates with other IT professionals both internally and externally to the Department as required to efficiently support EX/IT team. Participates with IT leadership and other IT staff members in analyzing and making recommendations relating to the configuration of the OIGs information technology systems equipment requirements budgeting software and hardware specifications. Process Review: Regularly review and update configuration management processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Overall the configuration manager is responsible for ensuring that the configuration of software and systems is well-managed controlled and documented throughout their lifecycle from development through deployment and maintenance. This helps to minimize risks ensure quality and facilitate effective change Experience Knowledge Skills & Abilities:The IT configuration manager/Senior-Level IT Subject Matter Specialist has 8-10 years ofexperience in the following: Demonstrated hands-on experience with planning executing and troubleshooting configuration/patch changes to:Microsoft technologies (i.e. Windows Intune M365 Azure)Network and firewall systems (i.e. Cisco Palo Alto Panorama)Demonstrated experience with running a CCBDemonstrated experience with using Microsoft productivity tools such as Word Excel PowerPoint Planner Project to track analyze manage tasks create reports and presentationClearance Requirement:Top Secret Security ClearanceOur Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
