Job Summary
Broad Function and Purpose of Position:
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for overseeing master data and inventory. This role is crucial to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our supply chain operations from data management to inventory control. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain master data optimizing inventory levels and ensuring seamless collaboration between various departments to meet business objectives. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Vice President of Supply Chain and may include other activities as assigned.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee supply chain master data workflow from creation to release of material codes.
- Local business liaison between project integration teams and local sites to ensure all new code requirements are captured.
- Coordinate with various business functions to ensure accurate and efficient code set-up.
- Collaborate with the demand planning team to ensure accurate code creation and forecast creation.
- Implement and lead strategic initiatives to cleanse and maintain master data.
- Develop and train local key users on master data best demonstrated practices.
- Maintain a high-level understanding of the business processes to ensure proper master data maintenance.
- Understand the applications upstream and downstream from the data source and how processes are impacted by the data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify initiatives to optimize inventory utilization and reduce slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Identify and prioritize root cause of slow-moving inventory driving corrective actions via cross-functional teams
- Facilitate monthly Inventory business review meetings and manage the inventory matrix.
- Perform other work and projects as required by the Vice President of Supply Chain.
Qualifications :
Qualifications/Experience:
- Education: B.S. degree Supply Chain or Business Management. APIC certification a plus.
- Experience: 3 years experience in manufacturing supply chain master data or inventory management
Special Requirements/Competencies:
- Must be able to read write speak and comprehend English.
- Proficiency in SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems required.
- Previous experience working with data including analytical analysis which encompasses daily metrics reporting.
- Project management and problem-solving skills
- Must be proficient in the use of Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral written and interpersonal communication skills.
