Interventional Radiology Technologist

Baltimore Maryland

Full-Time - Day Shift - 6:00 am - 4:00 pm

Under moderate supervision performs a range of diagnostic imaging procedures across Angiography Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology. Partners with physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions while ensuring patients and families are clearly informed about procedures and special requirements.

What Youll Do:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in Angiography IR and Diagnostic Radiology settings
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures
  • Communicate procedure details preparation requirements and expectations to patients and families
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulatory and quality standards

    Interventional Radiology procedures:
  • Central venous access and vascular access line placements (PICC lines ports tunneled catheters dialysis access interventions)
  • Image-guided drain placements (abscess drains biliary drains nephrostomy tubes pleural and peritoneal drains)
  • Image-guided biopsies (liver kidney lung lymph node soft tissue)
  • and more

Neuro Interventional Radiology procedures:

  • Cerebral and spinal angiography
  • Endovascular aneurysm coiling and flow diversion procedures
  • Stroke thrombectomy cases (mechanical thrombectomy)
  • AVM and AVF embolization
  • Carotid and intracranial stenting procedures
  • Acute neurovascular emergency interventions

    Must-Haves:
  • 35 years of relevant imaging experience
  • Associates degree or equivalent (2 years of college); specialized field knowledge required
  • Active ARRT Certification
  • Active Maryland State License
  • Current American Heart Association CPR Certification
