Key Responsibilities
You will support the maintenance and engineering teams while developing a practical understanding of terminal equipment and asset management processes. Under supervision you may:
- Assist with maintenance management activities and initiatives that improve equipment and system performance.
- Support preventive maintenance processes equipment inspections troubleshooting activities and safety practices.
- Help review and improve routine maintenance and repair checklists.
- Assist with data entry maintenance shift reports equipment records and maintenance software updates.
- basic mechanical electrical and automation principles while supporting daily operations.
- Participate in equipment troubleshooting efforts and help identify opportunities to reduce repetitive breakdowns and improve reliability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects safety initiatives and other assigned learning projects.
What We Are Looking For
- Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful sustainable improvements over time.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelors degree program with a STEM focus preferably Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Interest in engineering maintenance equipment reliability and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge or experience in control systems robotics maintenance mechanical systems or electrical systems is preferred.
- Programming knowledge and proficiency with PC applications including Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Good organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to follow directions in a dynamic operational environment.
Work Schedule: Interns will work full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year. No overtime.
