Job Summary

Alaska Marine Linesis seeking an Intern to provide general business clerical and/or administrative assistance for our Seattle based Customer Service team who is interested in learning more about the transportation industry and general business office operations. This is a Safety-Sensitive Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without or enter information with the computer to provide assistance to various departments inquire on or update customer accounts facilitate replies to customers or vendors prepare bills receipts checks or other and scan documents and perform other miscellaneous and file records. Proofread records or with projects or other departments on an as-needed basis such as administrative tasks organizing information or inputting duties as and/or EXPERIENCE:Successful candidates should be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program. Candidates are required to have high school diploma or general education degree (GED).Must have strong Excel skills and be familiar with Microsoft Word and Outlook. PowerPoint and/or SharePoint experience is SKILLS and ABILITIES:Ability to meet a regular work schedule. Ability and willingness to work overtime as to plan organize and prioritize work to meet schedules/ attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position. Daily physical presence is to work alone or as part of a team with minimal supervision. Ability to change focus and job duties in a fast moving time restricted skills required:Windows Excel Outlook keyboarding proficiency.
