Job Description:

The Engineering Intern will work closely with Reliability Engineering and to learn and develop a working knowledge of Reliability programs. The Engineering Intern will assist with daily activities to maintain compliance with handling/documentation/ESD compliance/tester operation and verification. The intern will be a functioning member of the Chandler Arizona Reliability team.

The preferred candidate will have a technical background/education in computer science. The candidate will be quickly developed into a functional member of the Reliability team and will be directly involved in developing and maintaining software tools which would include writing scripts and compiling data and as well as creating programs to assess data.
The ideal candidate would have a firm grasp of programming principals and have excellent communication skills. Some circuit background and using spreadsheets and other MS Office applications maybe required. The essential functions of this position include assisting senior members of the Reliability team with day-to-day tasks collecting and analyzing data interacting with other departments to gather data presenting findings and helping to share the workload and streamline automation processes. This position has the potential to be a direct hire after completion of school.

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Currently enrolled in Bachelors or Masters degree program
    • Work alongside ElectroStatic Discharge (ESD) Engineers supporting ESD analysis.
    • Work alongside other programmers as a team to develop systems.
    • Background in programming (Computer Science major or similar).
    • Firm grasp of basic programming principals.
    • This is a great opportunity for students currently enrolled in school with a plan to work year round.
    • Knowledge in one or more of the following: Python Rust C# C.

    The candidate must be able to:

    • Work independently (self-directed) and be able to communicate with all levels of the organization includingtechnicians specialists engineers and senior managers.
    • Organize plan and manage numerous multidisciplinary projects while meeting deadlines department objectives in a good manner.
    • Able to follow written specs and verbal guidance.
    • Effectively communicate across functional departments and contractors.
    • Admin work maybe required which could include filing and shipping.
    • Skills can be learned on site.
