Job Summary
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code Title 10 as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W6RKAA 717TH MILITARY INTELLIGENCE BATTALION.
- Analyze communications signals information using national databases to synthesize raw intelligence data.
- Assist in the evaluation and prioritization of raw data to refine collection strategies in establishing systems and procedures.
- Prioritize intelligence collection efforts to satisfy national and tactical intelligence requirements.
- Disseminate tactical intelligence products regarding critical indications warnings and force protection.
- Recommend optimal product dissemination formats based on assessments of sensitive intelligence requirements.
- Advise the Intelligence Community and Unified Combatant Commands on sensitive technical operations.
- Develop target activity databases to enhance discovery capabilities for assigned missions.
- Coordinate with Target Offices of Primary Interest to design targeted intelligence collection plans.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination as determined by a completed background investigation.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85 Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- TDY will be required 25% or less of the time.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI) and pass a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph.
