Intellectual Property Patent Agent (Biotech)

An outstanding full-time opportunity is currently available for an Intellectual Property/ Patent Agent with extensive Biotechnology experience including Biopharma Immunotherapy and Agricultural Biotech to join a highly stable and prestigious firm in the greater Chicago area. This position will be active subject to the status of Chicagos re-opening.

Patent Agent responsibilities:

• Work with scientist and clients to capture biotech innovations review and analyze invention disclosures
• Analyze patent and scientific documents to assist with patent prosecution/ litigation
• Occasionally provide technical support relating to patent litigation
• Work with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO); writing and amending claims/ patents
• Client focused; this position will assume client responsibilities for both domestic and international partners

Required work experience includes:

• 2-5 years demonstrated experience of intellectual property (IP) experience is a MUST
• Ph.D. in Biotechnology Molecular Biology or related field is a MUST
• Able to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is a MUST
• Prior work experience working with biopharmaceuticals immunotherapy agricultural biotech or a similar field is HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Previous experience working with international clients is a PLUS
