Integration Specialist WordPress Developer

Our client is seeking a Word Press Developer

Location : Chicago IL
Type : Contract Remote

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or directly related field- OR-Bachelors degree with a combination of certificates training and work experience relevant to the positions duties
Five years of experience in web development with a focus on WordPress: experience with multi-site preferred
Experience working in an institution of higher education or large and/or complex institution preferred
Experience with debugging and troubleshooting WordPress issues
Experience with performance optimization and security best practices
Experience in testing and debugging tools like Firebug Chrome inspector etc.
Proficient in the use of code repositories such as GitHub
Knowledge and understanding of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON XML)
Strong understanding of HTML CSS JavaScript and PHP
Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices
Understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into responsively designed HTML pages
Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
