What Youll Do as an Insurance Verification Representative I

• Obtain pre-certification and benefits verification for all patient admissions.
• Contact insurance providers to verify coverage network status and financial responsibilities.
• Process patient registration and admission information accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate with patients families and healthcare providers to facilitate a seamless admission process.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies insurance regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the patient experience.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience:
  • 36 months of experience in a medical office clinic or acute care setting preferred but not required.
• Licensure/Certifications:
  • None required.
• Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of patient admissions and scheduling processes.
  • Strong communication skills for patient interactions insurance verification and care coordination.
  • Proficiency with computer systems faxing phone operations and document scanning.
  • Attention to compliance detail and financial accuracy.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients families and staff.

Physical & Work Environment

• Prolonged sitting with periods of standing and walking often 7 hours per day.
