Instructional Coach & Instructor Math

Job Title: MTI Math Instructor (Contractor Part-Time Hybrid)

Department: Workforce Development & Education

Reports To: Machinist Training Institute Manager

FLSA Status: Part-Time Contractual

General Statement of Duties:

Instruct program participants in a classroom environment. Assess student performance and maintains student records.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Classroom instruction in Shop Mathemathics and one or more of the following subjects: Computer Science Material Handling Logistics CNC Bluepring Reading Robotics or Welding.
• Assists the supervisor of academic instruction with the maintenance of student classroom discipline standards.
• Periodically evaluates student progress and documents the assessment.
• Assists student counselor in his/her activities to ensure student achievement of program training goals.
  

Supervision Received: Perform duties as assigned under the supervision of the Machinist Training Institute Manager.

Position will require between 15 and 20 hours per week from the hours of 9am - 2pm

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and sitting.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at times.

Education Training and Experience:

• Bachelors degree with emphasis on vocational education math or engineering or journey person with at least five years experience.
