JOB DESCRIPTION

Morristown Elementary is seeking a special education instructional assistant for the2026-27 school year.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work alongside thespecial education teacher to meet the individual learning needs of students.

• Assist students in grades K-5 in small group settings resource room and general education classrooms.

• Emphasis on English/Language Arts and math skills.

• Other duties assigned by principal/designee.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma required associates or bachelors degree preferred.

• Must pass a background check through Shelby Eastern Schools.

• Emphasis on teamwork a positive attitude and a desire to build relationships with students parents community members and fellow staff members.

The starting salary for new instructional assistants is $14.50 per hour. Part-Time 28 hours per week. Additional compensation possible depending on degree held.
