Schedule: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Sunday Night - Friday Morning)
Starting Pay: $22.90/hour
On-Site Full-Time Hourly
Were seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to support our 3rd shift operations in Buffalo NY. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process by conducting inspections maintaining quality records and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Perform first-piece in-process receiving tooling and final inspections.
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Utilize a variety of gauges and inspection equipment.
Calibrate set up and maintain inspection tools and gauges.
Inspect specialty tooling including forms shaves drills and broaches before use.
Verify compliance with plating heat-treat and other outside process specifications.
Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
Identify quality concerns issue rejections when necessary and recommend corrective actions.
Support communication and coordination between Quality Engineering Maintenance and Production teams.
Maintain a safe clean work environment in accordance with 6S standards.
Follow all Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Strong shop math skills.
Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
Knowledge of calibration practices and quality inspection methods.
Understanding of manufacturing processes heat treating plating and outside operations.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to make sound quality decisions and effectively communicate findings.
