Job Summary
This role is ideal for a detail oriented technician who enjoys hands on work takes pride in quality and safety and wants to grow within a manufacturing environment.
- Prepare color pulls and support press approvals to reduce waste and improve efficiency
- Stage deliver mix and return inks and adhesives to support press operations
- Receive unload store and document ink chemical solvent and adhesive deliveries
- Manage hazardous waste shipments and maintain satellite accumulation areas in compliance with regulations and Fres-co policies
- Mix inks and adhesives open and close drums weigh materials and complete required documentation
- Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records
- Maintain housekeeping standards in ink and solvent areas to prevent accidents and spills
- Operate forklifts and hand trucks to safely move materials
- Cross train in other departments as needed to support production
- Train new hires and support ongoing training of team members
- Report food safety quality and safety issues to appropriate personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Prior ink room printing or manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and support production teams
- Good attention to detail with required color discrimination and color matching skills
- Basic computer skills for inventory and documentation
- Ability to follow standard work procedures and safety processes
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Ability to stand sit bend and stoop throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and pull at least 50 pounds and move heavier loads using hand trucks or material handling equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
