An Informatica Developer is responsible for designing developing and maintaining ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes using Informatica tools. The role involves working closely with data functional teams to ensure efficient data integration transformation and delivery. Strong Unix/Linux scripting skills are required to support automation scheduling and batch processing activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed both major and minor which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design develop and implement ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter
  • Create and maintain mappings workflows sessions and transformations
  • Develop data integration solutions to extract transform and load data from multiple sources
  • Perform data analysis validation and troubleshooting of ETL processes
  • Optimize ETL performance and implement tuning strategies
  • Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for job automation scheduling and monitoring
  • Work with SQL queries stored procedures and database objects for data processing
  • Support production deployments issue resolution and maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements
  • Ensure data quality integrity and compliance with standards
  • Participate in SDLC phases: requirements design development testing and deployment

Required Technical Skills

  • Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica Cloud (IICS)
  • Strong knowledge of ETL development and data warehousing concepts
  • Proficiency in SQL (Oracle SQL Server DB2 etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux and Shell scripting
  • Experience in data modeling and database design
  • Knowledge of workflow scheduling tools (e.g. Control-M Autosys)
  • Understanding of performance tuning and optimization techniques
  • Experience working with multiple data sources (XML flat files RDBMS)

Preferred/Additional Skills

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with version control and release management

  • Ability to work independently and within teams
