Industrial Maintenance Technician 1st Shift

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facilitys equipment
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
• Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems replace or repair parts test and make adjustments
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines equipment and plant facilities
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
• Use a variety of hand and power tools electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Detect faulty operations defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
• Keep daily log of work done to turn into shift supervisor at end of each shift
• Work in a variety of areas ranging from ground to the roof
• Work in very low to very high temperatures with proper personal protective equipment
• Perform landscape and snow removal duties
• Clean up the work area during and at end of each shift
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma/GED
• Few years of production and industrial maintenance experience required
• Education in industrial maintenace or similar preferred but not required

• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• The ability to lift up to 80 pounds on very rare occasions
• The ability to grasp hold and use hand tools such as wrenches screw drivers and hammers
• The ability to grasp hold and use power tools such as saws vibratory tools and drills
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds
• The ability to move safety over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
• The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
• The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds
• The ability to kneel and crawl in performance of normal maintenance duties
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
• Must be able to sit walk bend and twist for long periods of time throughout the day
