Job summary:
The Process Engineer / Technical Support Specialistis responsible fordriving process improvements supporting equipment performanceoptimizingwork center layouts andmaintaininghigh operational efficiency across production and distribution activities. This role also provides technical support for systems hardware and software critical to daily operations. The position integrates engineering problem-solving packaging development lean tools and IT support to ensure seamless production material handling and information flow.
Job responsibilities:
Process Engineering
Lean Tools Continuous Improvement & Layout Optimization
Applies lean methodologies benchmarking and improvement strategies to standard processes.
Works with operations tooptimizework center layouts material flow containerization visual controls and standard quantities.
Designs and installs visual controls.
Reviews evaluates and recommends material handling and processing equipment.
Supports continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
Work Center & Job Assignment Optimization
Reviews unitizing jobs for efficiency and potential reassignment.
Analyzes job requirements todetermineproper work center placement.
Obtains Packaging Engineer approval when packaging changes are.
Assigns jobs to new work centers and prepares job lists prior to new equipment setup.Identifieswhich jobs should move to new machines and obtain management approval.
Analyzes belt lineutilizationto level workload. Creates sub-kits to reduce loose components.
Visual BOM Cost Analysis & Documentation
Creates Visual Bills of Material (BOMs) for belt line operations.
Calculates labor andmaterialssavings.
Provides packaging engineering support including alternative material approval.
Generatefloor layouts for work center rearrangements and new equipment placement.
Packaging Engineering Responsibilities
Warehouse Distribution & Logistics Support
Equipment Support
Responsible for ensuring repairs and improvements are completed on all equipment.
Collaborates with Machine Repair and Electrical teams to resolve equipment issues.
Contacttechnical representatives as needed. Programs equipment andmaintainsworking knowledge of all equipment.
Assistsoperators with machine operations and issues.

Technical Support & System Administration
Identifiessystem requirements and hardware/software needs.Assistswith technical issue resolution.
Acts as liaison betweenplantand Cybel/HP for PCCS and ATEC systems. Provides software support for Microsoft Office applications SAP and RF systems.
Provides hardware support for internal systems and maintainsTek Logixhardware requests.
Acts as direct support contact for the ECU Crib.

Qualifications:

Degree in engineering.
Knowledge of process engineering lean principles and manufacturing workflows.
Experience with SAP RF systems and Microsoft Office.
Ability to interpret and develop Bills of Material and packaging specifications.
Preferred:
Experience supporting equipment programming or automation.
Experience with warehouse orlogisticsoperations.
Experience:

1-2 years of engineering experience
Experience troubleshooting equipment issues.
Experience improving processes layouts or workflows.
Experience with packaging engineering tasks.
Experience supporting systems/hardware used in operations.
