Summary:
We are hiring immediately for a full time In Process Inspector. This position requires the ability to perform visual mechanical and electrical inspection functions in manufacturing areas under minimum supervision. The individual must be dedicated to the quality function and have a drive to enhance the quality of both the product and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs limited repetitive dimensional and electrical inspection using basic equipment and established procedures with minimum supervision.
- Need to have mechanical aptitude with an ability to execute good record keeping practices as a major part of the duties.
- Must be detail-oriented and adept at accuracy.
- Must be flexible and able to work with a variety of different people and in different areas depending on business needs.
- Interpret drawings and written work instructions.
- Must possess strong mathematical abilities computer literate and be comfortable using different applications.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- If required attend offsite training classes to maintain certification requirements. (i.e. JSTD)
- Uses a variety of precision measuring instruments including electrical test equipment calipers and micrometers.
- Schedules plans and executes assigned or delegated tasks in an efficient manner.
- Prioritizes workload such that production delays are minimized or eliminated.
- Ability to interface directly with customer representatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Knowledge in the use of mechanical measuring tools (including calipers micrometer and optical comparator)
- Ability to interpret drawings and instructions.
- Strong written verbal mathematical and analytical skills.
- IPC or J-Standard certification preferred.
- Ability to read/write in English.
- High School diploma or equivalent minimum.
- 4-6 years experience in manufacturing/quality preferred.
