Job Summary

The Transportation Operations Coordinator provides operational transportation coordination and contingency mobility support for Task 5 emergent operations activities in support of the ILS2 Task Order. This role is responsible for coordinating rapid-response transportation activities supporting contingency mobility operations synchronizing movement support functions and facilitating mission-critical transportation requirements associated with regional crises natural disasters partner nation support missions and national-level taskings.

Working closely with Government leadership mission partners logistics teams transportation personnel communications support staff cyber support teams operational stakeholders and contingency response organizations the Transportation Operations Coordinator helps ensure transportation activities remain operationally synchronized responsive and aligned with mission objectives. The position supports a wide range of mobility requirements including passenger movement equipment transport medical evacuation support supply distribution deployable operational platforms and contingency operations. Through effective coordination and rapid response planning this role contributes to mission success by maintaining transportation readiness and operational agility in dynamic and evolving environments.

This position is contingent upon award of the contract.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transportation and mobility activities supporting Task 5 contingency emergency response and expeditionary operations.
  • Support rapid-response transportation requirements associated with crisis response natural disasters partner nation support missions and other emergent operational activities.
  • Synchronize movement support operations and coordinate transportation resources to support mission execution requirements.
  • Coordinate with Government personnel logistics teams transportation providers communications support personnel cyber support teams and contingency response organizations to ensure effective operational integration.
  • Support transportation coordination for passenger movement equipment transport supply delivery and operational support missions.
  • Assist with coordination of CASEVAC MEDEVAC patient retrieval and other mission-critical transportation requirements as directed.
  • Support mobility planning and transportation readiness activities associated with deployable operational platforms and expeditionary operations.
  • Monitor transportation activities and provide operational updates movement status reports and transportation coordination support to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify transportation constraints operational risks and mobility challenges and assist in the implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Support continuity of operations by ensuring transportation resources and movement support capabilities remain available and responsive during contingency situations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically requires a college or University Degree in Business related disciplines that focus on Supply Chain Purchasing and/or Logistics or the related combination of education and experience that provides knowledge and exposure to the fundamental theories principles and concepts within the specified discipline. May be entry level for those with an advanced degree. Typically requires 4 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting transportation operations logistics coordination mobility operations deployment support or contingency response activities.
  • Knowledge of transportation planning movement coordination logistics operations and operational support principles.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple organizations and stakeholders in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing requirements and respond effectively to changing operational conditions.
  • Experience preparing operational reports transportation status updates and coordination documentation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DoD federal government contingency operations humanitarian assistance disaster response or expeditionary missions.
  • Knowledge of mobility operations deployment planning transportation management and emergency response coordination.
  • Experience supporting CASEVAC MEDEVAC patient movement or emergency transportation operations.
  • Familiarity with Joint operations operational planning processes and contingency response frameworks.
  • Experience coordinating transportation activities across geographically dispersed locations and international environments.
  • Prior military service or military transportation logistics or mobility operations experience.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified in Logistics Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credentials.

The expected salary range for this position in Hawaii is $86400 - $129600 (update as required). Actual compensation may vary based on experience qualifications work location and other job-related factors. This range is provided in accordance with Hawaii pay transparency requirements and applies to candidates working in Hawaii.
