Job Summary

The Deployment Operations Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for deployment contingency expeditionary and continuity of operations activities in support of ILS2 Task Order execution. This role is responsible for directing deployment operations coordinating contingency response efforts synchronizing field support activities and ensuring operational continuity across dynamic remote and potentially degraded operating environments.

Working closely with logistics personnel infrastructure support teams technical sustainment staff communications specialists readiness coordinators operational stakeholders and Government leadership the Deployment Operations Manager ensures mission requirements remain operationally synchronized responsive and aligned with contingency planning objectives. The position supports transition activities between sustainment and contingency operations while maintaining deployable mission readiness and continuity of operations capabilities. Through proactive coordination operational oversight and readiness management this role contributes to mission success by ensuring Task 5 deployment and contingency operations remain fully integrated adaptable and capable of supporting surge emergency and expeditionary requirements.

This position is contingent upon award of the contract.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for deployment contingency expeditionary and continuity of operations activities supporting Task 5 mission requirements.
  • Direct deployment operations and coordinate contingency response activities to ensure operational readiness and mission effectiveness.
  • Synchronize field operational support functions across logistics sustainment communications infrastructure and support organizations.
  • Coordinate with Government leadership operational stakeholders and supporting teams to ensure deployment activities remain mission-aligned and responsive to evolving requirements.
  • Support operational transitions between routine sustainment activities and contingency or expeditionary operations.
  • Oversee readiness coordination and deployment preparation activities necessary to maintain deployable mission capability.
  • Monitor deployment status operational readiness metrics and field activity execution to support leadership decision-making.
  • Support contingency planning operational reporting deployment tracking and operational recovery activities.
  • Identify operational risks readiness gaps resource constraints and contingency challenges and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Facilitate coordination between fixed-site and expeditionary operations to ensure continuity of operations across diverse operating environments.
  • Prepare operational reports readiness updates briefings and mission status assessments for program leadership and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS / BA Engineering Sciences or Other Related Program Field and at least 10 years of directly related experience. Advanced Degrees (M.S. / MBA) preferred. Extensive Program Management Experience and increasing leadership responsibility. Preferred cross-functional and business lieu of formal education 18 years of directly related experience. Specific contract requirement will prevail.
  • Experience leading deployment operations contingency planning expeditionary operations operational support or emergency response activities.
  • Experience coordinating complex operations across multiple functional organizations and stakeholder groups.
  • Knowledge of operational readiness continuity of operations deployment management and contingency response principles.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical operations in dynamic or austere environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in operational military government or contractor support environments.
  • Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DoD USINDOPACOM contingency operations expeditionary missions or operational support programs.
  • Knowledge of continuity of operations (COOP) operational recovery planning deployment readiness programs and emergency management principles.
  • Experience supporting logistics sustainment communications or infrastructure operations in deployed environments.
  • Familiarity with Joint Combatant Command or military operational planning processes.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed locations and high-visibility mission requirements.
  • Prior military service or military operational deployment or contingency planning experience.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) CBCP or similar operational readiness credentials.

The expected salary range for this position in Hawaii is $127800 - $191700 ). Actual compensation may vary based on experience qualifications work location and other job-related factors. This range is provided in accordance with Hawaii pay transparency requirements and applies to candidates working in Hawaii
