Internship conversion position. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time 100 % on-site at our facility in El Segundo CA.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Independentlyplanand contribute to technicalanalysisprojects.
  • Exercise yourexpertisein understanding modeling and analyzing enterprise-level integratedmissions.
  • Use and contribute to the development of in-house and commercial/government-off-the-shelf engineering analysis tools and analysis products.
  • Develop and delivertimelyand technicallyaccuratepresentations and reports.
  • Travel occasionally asrequired.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. degreefrom an accredited college/university programin engineering (aerospace astronautical mechanical or software) computer science physics operations research or closely related technical field from an accredited school.(pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)
  • 0-1 year of industry experience
  • Prior internship with The Aerospace Corporation
  • Additional years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments.
  • Proficiencywith theAdvanced Framework for Simulation Integration and Modeling (AFSIM)
  • Technical understanding of space operations red vs blue simulations militaryutilitythreatphenomenologieskillchaineffectivenesscommunications infrastructureand/or command and control (C2).
  • Experience with multi-phenomenology remote sensing techniques specifically EOIR RF and RADAR processing for object detection tracking and characterization.
  • Experience with Pythonand/orC.
  • Ability to work on dynamic assignments andevolvingcustomerneeds.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication skills.
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Experience modeling the space domain in AFSIM and/or integrating external tools with AFSIM.
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community U.S. Department of Defense and Department of the Air Force business practices and programs.
  • Current Top Secret/SCI Clearance with polygraph and special programs access.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge and skills.
