• Position Type: Contract (with potential to convert to full-time)
• Contract Duration: 6 months (extension possible)
• Pay Rate: $33.00$34.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM with available overtime
• Travel Requirements: Local travel required candidate will travel from store to store based on work order management system and priority covering approximately 45 stores across half of Atlanta

As an HVAC Technician you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems at facilities by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function responsible for providing support preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.

• Install repair adjust and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building including heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes regulations and work safety.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
• Impact through clearly defined duties methods and tasks are described in detail.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical electrical and other installed building systems equipment and facilities.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Manage and track completion.
• Support energy management by taking measures to ensure that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
• Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Use communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients co-workers and supervisors.
• Plan day-to-day schedule based on work orders and current location.
• Procure parts as needed.

• Experience working with refrigeration walk-in freezers coolers reach-in refrigeration units
• Commercial HVAC experience rooftop units
• Commercial split system experience
• Exhaust fan experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good customer service skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Teams
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

• Ability to adapt and learn
• Work order management system experience
• Trade school diploma (in addition to required education)

• High school diploma or GED required; in lieu of a diploma a combination of experience and education will be considered
• Trade school diploma is a plus
• EPA 608 Universal license or Types 1 2 and 3 required
• Valid drivers license required

• 27 years of job-related HVAC/refrigeration experience

• Role covers approximately 45 stores across half of Atlanta candidate will travel from store to store based on work order management system and priority
• A company van and tools will be provided
• Must be comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
• Must meet physical requirements including stooping standing walking climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
• Overtime available

• Background check package: CBRE Safety Specific with Drug Screen & MVR required
