The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting repairing and operating Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning and associated equipment to support safe and reliable plant operations. This position requires working in production and maintenance environments that may require the use of supplied-air respiratory hood and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Monitor HVAC systems through Honeywell Operating system following cGMP procedures
• Comply with all SOPs and regulatory documents/agencies
• Maintain and repair air conditioning heating ventilation refrigeration equipment and related systems
• Troubleshoot replace and adjust associated control instrumentation for the HVAC equipment following GMP guidelines
• Provide technical feedback to automation maintenance and supervisor for possible solutions to HVAC issues
• Investigate and correct out of range temperatures and humidity in offices process areas and computer rooms
• Obtain licenses for and demonstrate ability to operate various materials handling equipment
• Administer document and maintain conformance to regulatory requirements and company policies through effective utilization of Company Quality Systems and tools
• Perform minor mechanical and equipment maintenance
• Perform pipe fitting and brazing as required
• Assist HVAC vendors by providing appropriate permits
• Perform as liaison with vendors for chiller systems
• Utilize Microsoft Office software to create modify save and print documents in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and work records.
• Follow all plant safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) confined space entry and hot work requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned work areas.

• Perform other duties as required

• AS degree or 3 years of industrial experience in HVAC instrument or controls
• Experience with industrial BMS
• EPA approved universal refrigerant certification is preferred
• Have reliable transportation to work

• Ability to read and interpret technical prints and governmental regulations
• Ability to apply basic mathematical principles
• Strong attention to detail and drive to accomplish the job timely accurately and safely the first time
• Ability to work closely and effectively in a team environment
• Ability to apply knowledge of Good Manufacturing processes and the knowledge and skills in pharmaceutical processes equipment instrumentation and procedures

• Willingness to work overtime weekends oron-callas needed.

Equivalent combinations of education training and relevant work experience may be considered.

• Must be able to wear a supplied-air hood or respirator for extended periods as required by job tasks or environmental conditions.
• Ability to work in hot cold dusty noisy or chemical process environments.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand walk climb ladders bend kneel and work in confined spaces or elevated areas.
• Must be medically qualified to wear respiratory protection in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
