• Travel Requirements: Driving to and from multiple sites (2025 sites) each day

As an HVAC Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function responsible for providing support preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems. The candidate will be working independently driving to and from multiple clinic sites each day and must have a highly professional attitude.

• Assign tasks to team members and ensure all duties are done in a timely manner
• Install repair adjust service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment including calibration of related instruments gauges and control components
• Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes regulations and work safety
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions
• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with RISE values; work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement
• Impact a range of customer operational project or service activities within own team and other related teams
• Work within broad guidelines and policies

• Respond to work orders at clinics including:

- Fixing door locks - Light fixtures - Outlets - Sink faucets - Ceiling tile replacements - HVAC repairs

• HVAC knowledge and repair

• Basic computer skills
• Microsoft Office (including Outlook)
• Tablet experience
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word Excel Outlook etc.)
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset
• Sophisticated math skills; ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages fractions and other financial-related calculations

• Any advanced knowledge in plumbing HVAC or electrical would be a plus
• Prior experience working in hospitals or clinic chains is a significant advantage
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred
• Trade school diploma or coursework (a plus)

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school diploma is a plus
• In lieu of a diploma a combination of experience and education will be considered
• EPA Certification must be able to work with refrigerant (required)
• Current/valid drivers license (required)

• Any amount of experience will be considered; candidates with basic HVAC skills are encouraged to apply
• High School Diploma GED or trade school diploma with 45 years of job-related experience (or equivalent combination of experience and education)

• Experience working in hospitals or clinic chains

• Candidate will be working in a dialysis clinic environment a highly professional attitude is required
• A company vehicle will be provided
• All tools and PPE will be provided
• Driving to and from 2025 sites per day
• Must meet physical requirements including stooping standing walking climbing stairs and the ability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
• Background package: safety-specific check with drug screen and MVR

• Interview process: 1st round in person with lead engineer; 2nd round virtual with hiring manager
• Position is covering for someone on a leave of absence
• Conversion to permanent employment is possible if headcount becomes available
