As an HVAC Controls Systems Designer you will support the design programming commissioning and documentation of HVAC control systems. Working under direct supervision and established standards you will help ensure each project meets the intent of the customers requirements and is clearly communicated to internal teams customers consultants and subcontractors.
Select hardware designs from the standard design library for flow diagrams sequences of operation bills of material network layouts and electrical schematics.
Perform software programming using established standards as the basis of design.
Coordinate the creation of drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
Select order and track materials for assigned projects and coordinate factory-mounting processes to align with project schedules.
Assist with loading and commissioning system and network-level controllers validate overall system functionality and troubleshoot issues with subcontractors and other trades.
Gather field changes and create as-built drawings and software; prepare documentation and manuals for system operation.
Keep management and the customer informed of job progress issues and next steps.
Support site-specific training for owner/operators on the total system.
Complete time sheets expense reports and on-site documentation accurately and on time.
Adhere to safety standards with a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
Use established standards and the standard design library to build consistent practical control solutions that align with project requirements.
Stay close to the work and communicate early by coordinating with customers consultants the field installation team and subcontractors when questions or changes arise.
Own your documentation and follow-through so submittals schedules as-builts software changes and manuals remain accurate through turnover.
Approach commissioning with a hands-on problem-solving mindset to validate functionality resolve issues and help bring each system into reliable operation.
Work safely honestly and as one team by sharing progress clearly supporting others across trades and keeping employee and subcontractor safety front and center.
Look for continuous improvement in everyday work by capturing field feedback applying lessons learned and making each project more efficient and effective.
Minimum of three years of experience with installing and/or commissioning controls systems including system-level controllers.
Working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical electrical and control systems.
Demonstrated technical aptitude.
Demonstrated advanced computer skills.
Associate or bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or 5 years in the HVAC field.
Experience designing or evaluating mechanical/electrical building systems or control systems.

This role includes a competitive benefits package and the posted hourly range is $32.07-$48.13 with final compensation determined by education experience knowledge skills abilities internal equity and market data.
