Job Summary

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Human Service Worker with our Stride Program in Eagle Mountain Utah! This onsite position offers a competitive wage of $17.50$22.17/hour and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children ages 512. Stride is an after-school skills development program that provides a safe structured and engaging environment for children experiencing social emotional and behavioral challenges. As a Human Service Worker youll help children build confidence strengthen relationships develop healthy coping strategies and learn skills that can help them succeed at home school and in their communities.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:00 PM-7:00 PM
Compensation: $17.50$22.17 DOE

What Youll Do as a Human Service Worker

  • Provide compassionate support and supervision to children participating in the program.
  • Facilitate structured activities skills groups and daily routines.
  • Help children develop social emotional behavioral and coping skills.
  • Model positive behavior communication boundaries and healthy coping strategies.
  • Assist with crisis intervention and help maintain a safe structured environment.
  • Observe and document client interactions progress and behaviors.
  • Collaborate with therapists supervisors families and other team members.
  • Encourage children as they build confidence independence and skills for success at home school and in the community.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid drivers license
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm patient and grounded during challenging situations
  • Reliable team-oriented and eager to learn
  • Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required
  • Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards
  • Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
