Position Summary

The Human Resources is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organizations human resources functions including employee relations talent acquisition benefits administration compensation training and development performance management compliance and strategic workforce planning. This position works closely with the Director of HR Employee Relations and Risk Management to support executive leadership and ensures that HR strategies align with organizational goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop implement and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal state and local employment laws.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute strategic workforce planning initiatives.
  • Manage recruitment onboarding and retention programs to attract and retain qualified employees.
  • Oversee employee relations matters including investigations conflict resolution disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs and recommend improvements to remain competitive in the market.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations including FLSA FMLA ADA EEOC OSHA and other applicable requirements.
  • Lead performance management processes including evaluations coaching and employee development plans.
  • Develop and coordinate employee training and professional development programs.
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide recommendations to improve workforce productivity engagement and retention.
  • Manage leave administration workers compensation unemployment claims and accommodation requests.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and workforce restructuring efforts when necessary.
  • Maintain HRIS systems and ensure employee records are accurate and secure.
  • Supervise and mentor HR staff and support their professional development.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership regarding HR activities and workforce trends.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administrationpreferred or in lieu 5 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in a specialized HR area required.

Experience

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in an HR role.
  • Experience with employee relations risk management compliance benefits administration recruitment and performance management.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS Microsoft Office Suite and reporting systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
