Job Summary
Job Summary:
Responsible for leading directing and providing overall support of the organizations Human Resources initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides support and guidance to employees and management in the resolution of employee relations issues.
- Manages the talent acquisition process which includes employee recruitment interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants.
- Ensures planning monitoring and appraisal of employee performance appraisal program by training managers on employee assessment and development methods and ensure reviews are completed timely.
- Maintains knowledge of benefit programs to inform and answer employee questions as needed.
- Analyzes local trends in compensation and pay practices to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent. Conducts periodic compensation study; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; and recommending planning and implementing pay structure revisions.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal and external training opportunities for all employees.
- Maintains compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Retains accurate current and historical human resource records according to company local and federal policy.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations policies work procedures instruction and all safety requirements.
- Provides a Customer Service attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work production and achieving quality standards.
- Enforces all safety health environmental and food/feed safety policies and procedures.
- Maintains a clean orderly and safe workstation/environment at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelors in human resources or a 4-year degree in related discipline preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years in progressively responsible human resource roles preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of the human resources processes preferred.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles practices and procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR Systems.
- Organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels.
- Ability to advise and influence business leaders on how human resource actions can impact business performance.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Ability to maintain good attendance habits.
- Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with other department managers working to maintain constructive working relationships under all circumstances.
- Abide by all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
- Abide by the companys safety quality environmental and HR policies at all times.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to stand bend kneel to lift objects of 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to use stairs and ladders.
- Ability to be confined to a designated work area and stand for a long period of time.
- Ability to carry out tasks in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at once.
- Frequently required to walk stand sit.
- Occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more.
- Operate in an office and production environment. Production environment could include frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme heat or cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the production environment is usually very loud.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is usually in an office environment. The noise level in the office environment is usually quiet.
