- Maintain accurate and compliant employee files and records including W-4s I-9s direct deposit information and other employment documentation
- Manage and maintain DOT compliance and administration
- Oversee Unemployment Compensation (UC) management and reporting
- Sort and handle incoming mail and payments
- Manage and assist with complex employee relations matters
- Identify HR trends and issues that may impact organizational objectives and operational goals
- Interpret applicable employment laws regulations and company policies and provide guidance to management and employees
- Manage all hiring needs through a comprehensive recruiting program including participation in career fairs and other recruiting activities
- Ensure the employee handbook remains current is reviewed annually and that company policies are consistently communicated and enforced
- Coordinate and contribute to 30- 60- and 90-day reviews as well as annual performance reviews
- Oversee payroll accuracy including timecards temporary labor invoices direct deposit information and wage garnishments
- Oversee fleet vehicles and service schedules including inspections and annual registrations
- Handle workplace accidents and employee injuries as needed
- Update job descriptions and prepare new-hire job postings
- Participate in and provide oversight of the company Safety Committee
- Support business owners and other departments with HR-related needs
- Hire orient and assist with training new employees
- Maintain and update the companys organizational chart
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field
- At least 3 years of overall business experience in an HR Generalist role
- Experience developing and managing effective performance management systems and practices
- Demonstrated strengths in recruitment communication problem-solving and collaboration
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure when handling difficult or sensitive situations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and leadership
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and the ability to quickly learn new software and systems
- Ability to work around cleaning agents equipment and tools
- Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
- QuickBooks Online experience is a plus but not required
- 4045 hours per week with flexibility to work overtime when required
- Due to the 24/7 nature of our business occasional after-hours and weekend work will be required
