Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety and quality procedures and observe the operations to ensure a safe environment.
  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees at facility
  • Handle all pre-employment items for new hires new hire orientation and benefits enrollment
  • Create and maintain all personnel records
  • Performs exit interviews and handles the termination process when employees leave
  • Assist with recruiting as needed
  • Responsible for various reports such as: Corp. Monthly Headcount Absenteeism Union Dues etc.
  • Respond to requests for information from Corporate HR and other internal departments as needed
  • Track all Temporary work hours labor reports and others assigned.
  • Perform general administrative duties which include greeting visitors customers and any other support as needed.
  • Organize schedule and process all onboarding paperwork new hire orientation training checklists and new hire evaluations.
  • Participates and assists employees with information new employee hire training orientation benefit enrollment and benefit programs.
  • Maintain PSCF documentation to communicate upcoming job promotions shift transfers and new job work hours to corporate payroll.
  • Process tracks records and communicate all vacation and earned sick leave requests.
  • Process and track employee attendance.
  • Utilize data and reports in Fusion/Oracle database.
  • Reviews applications selects and interviews hourly candidates.
  • Assist in planning and organizing special events parties awards etc.
  • Utilizes excellent communication and interpersonal skills; successfully establishes and maintains professional relationships and works effectively with all levels of management and employees.
  • Administers injury-reporting process including workers compensation reports and claims and maintains record keeping for safety committee activities.
  • Processes and administers LOA garnishments unemployment requests and paperwork.
  • Handles day-to-day issues regarding policy and benefits referring to exceptions as they arise.
  • Maintains accuracy and timely data in the Fusion/Oracle to generate standard reports as needed.
  • Maintains positive employee relations in general.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the administrative and operational needs of the plant.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required; College Degree a plus
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in an administrative support role
  • Bilingual a must (English / Spanish)
  • People Person
  • Must have strong oral and verbal communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Basic mathematical skills used to add subtract multiply divide and use decimals and fractions
  • Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner demonstrate personal responsibility and perform all assigned duties
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept directions on given assignments
  • Working knowledge of MS office and exceptional computer skills
  • Annual salary for this position is between $55000 and $60000 based on skills and experience
