Job Summary

Column Technical Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Manager to join a growing manufacturing organization in Aurora IL where you can make a meaningful impact on both employee success and business performance. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure all employee documentation HR records compliance practices and personnel data are maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable federal state and local regulations.
  • Serve as an employee advocate promoting a fair respectful and compliant workplace while safeguarding employee rights.
  • Lead and manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment onboarding orientation and offboarding activities.
  • Partners with leadership to develop processes provide training reinforce accountability and strengthen company culture initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry trends HR best practices employment legislation regulatory updates and emerging HR technologies.
  • Maintain and administer company policies procedures programs and required reporting processes.
  • Identify organizational training needs and support employee development initiatives.
  • Assist with employee relations matters workforce planning succession planning talent management and employee development strategies.
  • Oversee payroll administration and ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and support employee benefit inquiries.
  • Demonstrate initiative by proactively identifying needs taking appropriate action and seeking input from key stakeholders when necessary.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by supporting colleagues contributing to business goals and showing appreciation for the efforts and contributions of others.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of progressive Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in human resources Labor and Employment Law Business Administration or a related field required.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism integrity and confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable professional with the ability to learn quickly and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience utilizing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Working knowledge of employment laws payroll processes employee benefits and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Professional HR certifications such as PHR SHRM-CP SHRM-SCP or SPHR are preferred.
