We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant to join our team. The HR Assistant will play a critical role in supporting day-to-day human resources operations focusing on ensuring compliance with background checks I-9 documentation and other key administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality in HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and manage pre-employment background checks ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Verify employment eligibility by accurately completing and maintaining I-9 documentation adhering to federal regulations.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Assist with compliance audits related to employment records I-9 forms and background checks.
• Perform general administrative duties such as filing data entry and preparing reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Human Resources or related field OR
• Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience

Preferred Experience (a plus but not required):

• Employee onboarding
• HR compliance
• Texas Labor Law knowledge
• Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) experience

Skills:

• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Work Environment:

• Primarily office-based with occasional remote work flexibility.
• Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
