ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Chemistry Laboratory Teaching Assistant: Dispose of and clean up lab materials correctly Able to work with chemicals Maintain and operate lab equipment Attend and assist students during lab Keep lab clean and organized Set up and tear down organic chemistry labs weekly Dispose of andclean up lab materials correctly Able to work withchemicals Maintain andoperate lab equipment Keep lab clean andorganized Inventory all itemsfor replacement (gloves soap paper towels chemicals used in labs) Must obtain and setup all items for labs from professors before lab meeting time. This may requiremixing solutions prior to lab. Set up labpractical materials if applicable Chemistry Grader: Grades testsquizzes lab notebooks and any other assignmentsthe professor assigns(rubric will be provided) Grader must gradewith non-biased and confidential integrity (FERPA) EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must have completed general chemistry with a grade B or better PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to work withchemicals Able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to lift 10 pounds
