Spheros is a global technology company and market leader in the development and manufacturing of thermal management solutions for city buses coaches and refrigerated transport fleets.
We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our Elkhart team. This position provides hands-on HR support to our production installation and professional teams and supports employee relations payroll recruiting onboarding HR systems training and day-to-day HR operations.
- Serve as a day-to-day HR point of contact for employees and supervisors with a strong presence supporting our hourly production and installation teams.
- Support employee relations matters including employee concerns attendance policy questions workplace investigations coaching and corrective action.
- Support payroll administration including timecard review payroll discrepancies employee changes and payroll questions.
- Maintain accurate employee data and process HR transactions within ADP and Workday.
- Support recruiting activities including job postings resume screening candidate communication and interview coordination.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding orientation employment documentation and required training.
- Support employee changes including transfers promotions compensation changes leaves and separations.
- Maintain personnel files and HR records in accordance with company standards and legal requirements.
- Support attendance administration and partner with supervisors on attendance and performance concerns.
- Coordinate site training activities and maintain employee training records.
- Prepare HR reports conduct data audits and support HR metrics.
- Assist with employee communications engagement recognition and community initiatives.
- Support benefits questions compliance activities HR audits and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee information.
- Support additional HR projects and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field preferred.
- 13 years of HR experience including relevant internship experience.
- Experience or exposure to employee relations payroll recruiting and onboarding.
- Manufacturing or hourly workforce experience is a plus.
- HRIS/payroll system experience preferred; Workday and ADP experience is a plus.
- Strong communication organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently maintain confidentiality and know when to escalate employee concerns.
