About the Job

NECIC Staffing is currently hiring dependable and detail-oriented Housekeepers/Environmental Services Associates to join a professional cleaning team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean safe sanitary and welcoming environment for employees customers residents guests and visitors.

Job Responsibilities

As a Housekeeper/Environmental Services Associate you will:

Clean assigned work areas according to established schedules and company standards.
Sweep mop vacuum dust and sanitize floors furniture fixtures and other surfaces.
Clean and disinfect restrooms including toilets sinks mirrors showers tubs and other restroom fixtures.
Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
Restock paper products soap towels and other restroom and cleaning supplies.
Clean offices break rooms hallways common areas windows doors and other assigned spaces.
Make beds change linens and replace towels when required by the worksite.
Safely operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums mops buffers and other housekeeping tools.
Maintain housekeeping carts storage areas and cleaning supplies in an organized manner.
Follow all chemical handling procedures and OSHA safety guidelines.
Report maintenance issues damaged equipment safety concerns and supply shortages to your supervisor.
Assist with deep cleaning projects seasonal cleaning and other special assignments.
Turn in lost and found items according to company policy.
Assist with training new team members when requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What Were Looking For

Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is helpful but not required.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable with excellent attendance.
Professional attitude and appearance.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working in occupied facilities.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand walk bend kneel stoop reach push and pull throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday.
Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals while following all safety procedures.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a variety of settings including:

Commercial buildings
Healthcare facilities
Office buildings
Schools
Hospitality environments
Manufacturing facilities
Other client locations

Employees may be exposed to cleaning chemicals wet floors dust varying temperatures and other conditions common to housekeeping and environmental services work.
