Housekeeper Needed in Washington, DC Full Benefits

Schedule: TuesdaySaturday 8:00 AM5:00 PM
Compensation & Benefits: $40-$45/hour plus overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws. The family offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical dental and vision insurance an HSA a 401(k) with employer match and three weeks of paid time off.

Position Overview: A private family in Georgetown is seeking a warm polished and highly capable Housekeeper to join their fully staffed household. The residence is approximately 13000 square feet with a team of four Housekeepers so this position will work collaboratively as part of an established housekeeping team.

This role is ideal for an experienced private-service professional who takes tremendous pride in maintaining a beautiful comfortable and welcoming home while providing thoughtful support to the family.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed daily housekeeping throughout the residence
• Maintain the home to a consistently high standard of cleanliness and presentation
• Handle laundry including washing drying folding and proper care of clothing and linens
• Care for fine furnishings surfaces linens and household items
• Make beds and maintain bedrooms and bathrooms
• Keep closets cabinets and household spaces organized
• Assist with seasonal and deep-cleaning projects
• Monitor household supplies and communicate when items need to be replenished
• Assist with household organization and special projects as needed
• Work collaboratively with other household staff
• Help create a comfortable and welcoming environment for the principals and their guests
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate has private housekeeping experience with excellent references. They have high standards for cleanliness and presentation and are comfortable working hands-on in a formal private home and areproactive discreet & exceptionally detail-oriented.

They naturally notice what needs to be done take initiative without overstepping and enjoy being part of a collaborative household team. They are adaptable highly organized and understand the importance of discretion consistency and teamwork within a fully staffed home.

Qualifications:

• Previous professional housekeeping experience in a private estate or formal household
• Strong knowledge of high-end housekeeping and proper care of fine furnishings and surfaces
• Experience with laundry and garment care
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Warm polished and professional demeanor
• Proactive and able to anticipate household needs
• Comfortable working collaboratively within a fully staffed home
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• High level of discretion and confidentiality
• Comfortable around and assisting with a dog
• Flexible and willing to assist wherever needed
