POSITION TITLE: Hourly Tutor for Residential Facilities

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Hourly. 4 hours per week (evening).Two days per week.

CONTRACT LENGTH:2026-2027 School Year (based on funding)

LOCATION:Residential Facilities - Boys Shelter Girls Shelter or Fostering Change

BEGINNING/ENDING:November 2026 (based on the availability of funds)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a certified teacher.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Increase student achievement in literacy and mathby providing studentswith small groupinstruction.
• Facilitates the implementation of research-based best practices designed to meet individual student needs.
• Maintains a consistent focus on teaching and learning to high standards.
• Must provide transitional lessons weekly
• Collects coordinates and analyzes student data related to mathand literacy.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Maintains records and reports consistently and in an appropriate manner.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Sensitive to a diversity of childrensneeds.
• Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to endure prolonged standing walking sitting kneelingoccasional reaching above the head or the shoulders bending squatting and kneeling.
