Summary
Ellis Medicine is seekingper diem Hospitaliststo join our collaborative Hospital Medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians seeking flexible supplemental clinical work a per diem practice option or the ability to maintain flexibility while working within a well-supported hospital medicine program.
Our Hospital Medicine model provides physicians with strong APP support broad specialty resources a closed ICU and no required procedures.
Position Highlights
- Flexible per diem opportunity
- 12-hour shifts: 7:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m.; 7:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m.
- Well-established Hospital Medicine program
- Strong APP and physician support
- Closed ICU
- Strong specialty support and hospital leadership
- No procedures required
Clinical Responsibilities
Per diemHospitalists will provide comprehensive inpatient medical care including:
- Evaluation and management of hospitalized adult patients
- Daily rounding and development of individualized treatment plans
- Coordination of care with nursing APPs consultants patients and families
- Admission and discharge management
- Responding toRapid Response eventsas assigned
- Participation in multidisciplinary care planning
- Appropriate consultation and coordination with specialty services
- Providing high-quality evidence-based inpatient care
No procedural responsibilities are required allowing physicians to focus on diagnosis treatment care coordination and patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State
- Strong clinical communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to compassionate patient-centered care
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Compensation
- Day shifts: $175/hour
- Night shifts: $185/hour
