The purpose of the Home Visit Program is to help teachers visit students homes to foster connections between families and the school. By conducting regular home visits students and families will feel more connected to the school and teachers will find it easier to connect with students.
This stipend opportunity is for staff who participated in the home visit pilot in the spring and are interested in continuing this fall.
Working Time/Modality:
Staff in grades PreK-8
Need to attend home visits with a partner
Need to schedule the visit with translation as needed (10 minutes)
Conduct home visit (40 minutes)
Need to write a debrief/reflection (Google Form) with partner after the visit (10 minutes)
Additional three hours of paid time for phone calls and emails to schedule home visits.
Requirements:
Current teacher
Qualified applicants must possess strong communication skills be able to collaborate effectively with others and be self-motivated.
Participated in the spring 2026 home visit training and completed some home visits during the spring 2026
Preferred qualifications:
Have strong structures and approaches for family outreach (log keeping two-way culturally responsive communication)
Strong belief in community/school relations to benefit students teachers and families
Essential Duties:
Must attend home visits with one partner.
Must arrange a home visit with translation if needed. Home visits must be in-person. Virtual home visits are not an option.
Must complete debrief/reflection (Google Form) with a partner after home visit.
Complete a minimum of 8-10 home visits including a second home visit of targeted students before September 30th.
Compensation:

1 hour per visit (10 minsscheduling; 40 minutesvisit 10 minutesdebrief and populating reflection form with partner)
3 hours of phone calls and planning
$40 per hour for up to 32 hours total of $1280 per person.
