Pay: Albany: $44$60/hour; Poughkeepsie: $44- $63; Westchester White Plains $47/hour $66/hour
Design the roads intersections and trails that connect New York communities. Creighton Manning is growing its Highway Design Group. As a licensed Project Engineer youll lead highway design work and manage smaller projects from start to finish partnering with traffic structural and construction inspection teams. With a strong pipeline of secured work you can focus on engineeringnot business development.
What You Will Do
- Design roadways trails sidewalks and intersections including roundabouts and traffic signals.
- Check calculations and prepare construction contract documents.
- Coordinate with clients and multidiscipline teams and present at project meetings.
- Prepare reports estimates and basic proposals.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and technicians.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelors in engineering (ABET/EAC accredited).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 8 years of highway or roadway design experience.
- MicroStation OpenRoads and AutoTurn proficiency.
- Working knowledge of the NYSDOT Highway Design Manual.
- Active member of a professional organization.
- Occasional after-hours work for deadlines and meetings.
