High School Phy Ed Teacher

Summary
Mora High School is seeking a Physical Education Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a lifelong appreciation for physical fitness and healthy living. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum aligned with state standards and school goals.
- Teach a variety of physical activities including team sports individual sports fitness and health education.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and teamwork.
- Promote the importance of physical fitness and healthy lifestyle choices through classroom discussions and activities.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular sports programs including practices and competitions.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to integrate physical education with other subjects and promote overall student wellness.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance performance and progress.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and participation.
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in physical education and health.

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Physical Education Kinesiology or a related field.
- Valid state teaching license in Physical Education.
- Strong knowledge of physical education curriculum and teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of varying skill levels.
- Experience in coaching or leading sports teams is preferred.
- Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues parents and the community.
