Production Helper

Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4:00 AM-4:20 PM; Friday 4:00 AM-12:20 PM

We are seeking aProduction Helper to assist with the setup operation and finishing of aluminum products in an industrial manufacturing environment.

This position will perform a variety of production activities including heat treating stretching sawing inspecting packing and weighing materials to meet production specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious detail-oriented dependable and comfortable working around industrial machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Material Handling & Preparation

Stretch pre-roll roll-straighten and contour aluminum products.
Shear metal to rough-cut lengths for subsequent operations.
Prepare aluminum products for heat treatment.
Drain and refill lubricant tanks.
Change saw blades as needed.
Handle and prepare materials for various production processes.

Machine & Equipment Operation

Operate industrial equipment including:
- Stretchers
- Saws
- Pallet jacks
- Hoists
- Conveyors
- Other production equipment
Install and change jaw grips.
Operate tail stock controls and transfer equipment.
Clean saw chip collection systems.
Perform basic equipment maintenance and adjustments.

Inspection & Quality Control

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
Check product dimensions throughout the production process.
Monitor product quality and identify potential issues.
Use measurement tools and gauges as required.

Packing & Documentation

Prepare containers and materials for packaging.
Pack and weigh finished products.
Maintain production records charts and required documentation.
Properly label and prepare finished materials for the next stage of production or shipment.

Maintenance & General Support

Perform basic maintenance tasks including:
- Tightening bolts
- Changing rollers
- Lubrication
- Other minor equipment adjustments
Assist with painting and general equipment upkeep.
Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
Follow all safety procedures and workplace policies.
Perform other production duties as assigned.
