Help Desk Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Help Desk Specialist to join our team at Amend Treatment a residential mental health treatment organization located in Malibu California. As a Help Desk Specialist you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to our staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line support to staff on IT-related issues and incidents
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and escalate as needed
• Install configure and maintain computer systems and applications
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of network equipment
• Create and update documentation for IT procedures and user guides
• Monitor IT systems to ensure functionality and performance
• Collaborate with IT team members to implement solutions and improvements
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and data protection policies

Essential Qualifications:

• Associate degree in IT or related field
• Proven experience in providing technical support in a help desk or IT support role
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of network protocols and configurations
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users

Desired Experience:

• 2 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role
• Certifications such as CompTIA A or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
