Job Summary

Design Hire is seeking a Health & Safety Technician to promote a safe and compliant work environment on active construction and industrial project sites. This role is ideal for a hands-on safety professional who can conduct field inspections enforce safety standards work directly with contractors and take immediate corrective action when unsafe conditions are identified.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety audits site inspections and hazard assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Monitor contractor activities identify unsafe behaviors or conditions and exercise stop-work authority when necessary to protect personnel and the jobsite.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections safety observations incident investigations corrective actions and regulatory compliance records.
  • Support emergency preparedness by assisting with responses to medical fire chemical or other site-related incidents and ensuring emergency equipment remains operational.
  • Deliver safety orientations verify contractor training requirements and reinforce safe work practices through regular field engagement and coaching.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Health & Safety or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of construction safety field safety or EHS experience.
  • OSHA 510 certification required.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting semiconductor construction equipment installation water/wastewater industrial construction or similar technical project environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA construction regulations hazard recognition contractor safety management and jobsite compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic safety documentation systems.
  • Strong communication leaders
