Head Maker Studio Manager (Boston)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Head Maker / Studio Assistant to join our team. As our head maker you will manage the fabrication of summer STEM kits and projects as well as manage our production resources and inventory lead other Makers / Studio Assistants and provide administrative support.

Role:

Head Maker

Duration: Full Time Summer Role (40 hours per week)

Pay: $20-$25/hour

Location: British International School of Boston (JP/Brookline)

• Strong problem-solving skills with solid basic mathematics skills

• Motivated to problem solve develop new systems and grow with the position

• Artistic creativity is a plus

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare enrichment program materials (arts & crafts woodworking and engineering materials)

• 3D Print and woodworking

• Manage maker production and reduce operational costs

• Proactively plan to anticipate company needs including ordering scheduling and implementing protocols

• Maintain a clean and positive workspace while managing office space effectively

Requirements:

• Makerspace shop or STEM experience

• Comfortable operating power tools (well provide training if needed)

• Ability to stand bend over walk etc. for long periods of time

• Ability to lift 20 lbs

• Organized hard worker.
