We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Head Chef to lead daily kitchen operations and oversee the culinary team. The Head Chef will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality consistency cleanliness organization and food safety while ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently during service.

The ideal candidate is professional disciplined dependable and able to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be comfortable following established recipes and procedures managing kitchen staff and maintaining a positive team-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team including Sous Chefs and Line Cooks.
Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth efficient service.
Ensure all menu items are prepared consistently according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain proper inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving products.
Monitor food usage and minimize waste while maintaining appropriate product quality.
Ensure all food products are properly dated labeled covered stored and rotated.
Maintain a clean organized and sanitary kitchen at all times.
Enforce all food safety sanitation and kitchen safety procedures.
Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed every day.
Monitor staff performance attendance productivity and adherence to kitchen procedures.
Provide direction coaching and training to kitchen staff as needed.
Develop and maintain a disciplined professional and collaborative kitchen team.
Assist with service cooking and station coverage when necessary.
Maintain consistent portioning presentation quality and execution.
Work closely with the management team to address operational needs and staffing concerns.
Support the development and execution of specials as directed.
Lead by example and maintain a professional and positive attitude during high-volume service.
Ensure the kitchen team follows established schedules recipes procedures and direction.
Adapt to changing business needs while maintaining kitchen standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Head Chef Executive Chef Chef de Cuisine or similar leadership position.
Strong culinary and kitchen management experience.
Proven ability to supervise and lead a kitchen team.
Strong knowledge of food safety sanitation inventory and kitchen organization.
Ability to follow and enforce established recipes and procedures.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong work ethic with a professional and disciplined approach.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Must be dependable organized and team-oriented.
Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays.
Must be willing and able to work according to the operational schedule and staffing needs.

Schedule & Compensation

Operating schedule: 7 days per week approximately 11:30 AM10:00 PM.
Head Chef pay range: $31$37 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Paid vacation increasing with tenure.
Performance-based bonus opportunities.
