Harvest Logistics Planner

• Bachelors degree and 2 years of logistics experience or Forestry experience
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse group of individuals
• Proven commitment to safety with knowledge of safety processes
• Ability and willingness to work both independently and as a team member
• Ability to effectively communicate using telephone office supplies and equipment
• Basic understanding of GPS software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Willingness and ability to adapt to frequent change while multi-tasking in fast paced environment
• General understanding of logging trucking and transportation activities
• General knowledge of operating area and map reading
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work a rotating day shift
• Ability to work evenings holidays and weekends as needed
• Ability to operate a logistics planning system platform

What We Offer...
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program and we are targeting a salary range of $58830 - $88245 based on your level of skills qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year providing a total of 88 holiday hours

Are you passionate about optimizing transportation logistics and seeking a dynamic role in the forestry industry We are looking for a dedicated Harvest Logistics Planner to join our Carolina-Virginia Region of the Southern Timberlands business. Based in New Bern NC you will report to the Region Transportation Manager and play a crucial role in identifying and implementing the most cost-effective methods to transport logs. • Schedule the transport of raw materials via contract haulers
• Data tracking and retention
• Maintain constant vigilance of the loggers needs drivers whereabouts and the availability of trucks and truck drivers which is essential to make the most efficient use of available trucks
• Maintain daily communication with contract truck managers drivers wood flow managers harvest managers and marketing representatives
• Work in a fast-paced environment to adjust schedules on the fly in order to meet system changes
• Utilization of logistics computer software/model daily
