Were looking for a dedicated individual to join our team. We support Wi-Fi Bluetooth UWB NFC and emerging technologies. As a Mixed Signal Hardware Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design implementation and verification of digital and power portions of wireless designs across all Apple products. The applicant should be familiar with computer system architecture digital design and power distribution networks. The candidate will work proactively with various cross-functional engineering groups responsible for other blocks in the system. May require traveling internationally.

In this role you will drive end-to-end hardware design for cutting-edge wireless systems from schematic and layout implementation to bring-up and validation of digital interfaces and power supplies. Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware software and silicon teams as well as external chipset vendors to deliver robust high-performance mixed signal solutions.

Closely work with internal hardware software and silicon teams to define system interconnects and power supplies. nImplement in-product schematics and layoutnWork with internal hardware and silicon teams to bring-up characterize (performance/power) and validate new digital interfaces protocolsnWork with power supply application circuit design and validation including load step response ripple and accuracy stabilitynWork with external chipset vendors to develop successful integration and verification plansnBe required to travel internationally as needed (15%)

BS and 10 years of relevant industry experiencenGood understanding of protocol specifications for communication interfaces like PCIe MIPI I2C SPI UART etc. nExperience with power supply/power management and power distribution networksnHands on debug experience with usage of modern lab equipment (DSOs Logic Analyzers Protocol Analyzers)

MSEE preferrednExperience leading projects from definition stage to mass production with minimal track record of leading project teams to complete projects or key components of the projectn5 years of experience delivering consumer electronic products is preferrednExperience in architectural discussion with cross-functional leaders related to Power supply and Digital design for the connectivity HW and able to influence product direction for these designsnExperience with power supply/power managementnHands on debug experience with usage of modern lab equipment (DSOs Logic Analyzers Protocol Analyzers)nExperience in writing basic software routines and test scriptsnStrong desire to investigation system level issues and drive problems to closure in a team-based environment with a proactive demeanornExperience with mobile and/or embedded processors and memory systemsnExperience with schematic capture/layoutnExperience interacting with offshore manufacturing partnersnSuccessful track record of delivering highly innovative communications productsnExperience with high volume low power mobile products
