PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Serve as the Tampa Bay areason-the-ground in-community representative andprimary point of contact with volunteers law enforcement government officials religious and community current supporters and cultivate new relationships to increase awareness of ADLs work andidentifyprogrammatic and partnership/coalition-building opportunities.

Responsibilities

Primary:

  • Serve as the spokesperson for ADL Florida during interactions with community partners and coalitions with media and promoting public awareness of ADLs mission and work.
  • Build relationships with Jewish and non-Jewish community organizations to furtherestablishADLs voice in the region on antisemitism and combatting hate on all fronts.
  • Identifyand promote programming opportunities and events to or in collaboration with current or prospective community-based partners.
  • Promotefacilitate and execute nationwide ADL programs events and policies tailored to local community needs and issues including facilitatingworkshops for law enforcement partners.
  • Ensurethat reports of antisemitic incidents are received and addressed within the region withappropriate consultationwith Division support and otherappropriate subjectmatter experts at ADL.
  • Recruit engage and work with volunteer leadership. Identifycommunity leaders for involvement and recruitment to ADL.
  • Participate in government affairs activitiesmaintainingregular contact with statelocaland national officials. Advocate for ADL issues in state and locallegislature.
  • Manage tailored community-focused communications including an area specific newsletter and event and program marketing to ADL supporters and stakeholders in the Tampa Bay area.
  • Manage the regions leadership group in theareaincluding its local ADL Advisory Council.
  • Track relevant issues and provide regular updates to regional (and divisional) staff.Identifyopportunities for the region to strategically engage.
  • Partner with regional development staff to grow the regions fundraising base in the Tampa Bay area including stewarding relationships with current supportersidentifyingprospective donors and developing opportunities to engage the community in meeting regional fundraising goals.

Secondary:

  • Support Region-wide efforts and collaborate withfullregional team to achieve statewide goals.
  • Be abridgebuilderbetween the Tampa Bay and Gulf Coast communities and other parts of the Region.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills including an ability to effectively communicate ADLs mission programs and engagement opportunities with various stakeholdersessential.
  • Highly organized anddetail-and goal-oriented required.
  • Problem-solving thoughtful decision-making and the ability to take initiative be assertive and prioritizeareneeded for success.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfort in working with colleagues remotely across the countryisessential.
  • Comfort with being the public face of ADL in the community including engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Technical competence. Working familiarity and comfort in database systems reporting and analysisessential.

Work Experience:

  • The ideal candidate hasseveralyears experience incommunity engagement and relationship cultivation andis able todemonstrateprogressive increasesin skilldevelopmentleadershipand responsibility in convening groups setting goals and keeping groups on task.
  • Previouswork in a non-profit environmenta plus.
  • Knowledge of theTampa Bay areanon-profit faith-based and/or corporate communitiesa plus.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree; graduate degree orequivalentwork experiencepreferred.

Work Environment:

  • This roleis remote(no specific in-office requirement) with an expectation to spendsignificant timein the community.
  • Some workoutside business hoursis expected.

Compensation:

  • This position has a salary range of $75000 to $90000. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Tampa Bay Florida. Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
