Groundskeeper-Substitute

Under the direction of Lead Groundskeeper cares for Travis Unified School District Grounds area and associated equipment; performs other related DUTIES10 years of education but additional credit for experience and/or special education background in grounds maintenance and a California valid drivers license. REPORTS TO: Lead GroundskeeperSupervision Exercised: NoneSupervision Received: ModeratePERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIESResponds to assigned work for various ground cover including fields lawns and pavement.-Mows weeds trims edges irrigates seeds waters and disperses chemicals such as herbicides pesticides and fertilizer-Repairs paved surfacesCare for various trees shrubs and bushes and immediate surrounding in the preparation of athletic fields and the installation removal and repair of playground and athletic in the repair of irrigation lawns pavements and various other outside areas.-Sweeps vacuums rakes shovels and otherwise picks up in connection with assigned various related equipment and tools in the performance of related manual labor assistance as required in the proper levels of safety are maintained in the use of chemicals and equipment and in the performance of work.
